History

Since the middle of the 19^th century, the fishing industry has contributed more economic growth. Since the 20^th century, tourism began to flourish and gave new impetus to the development of the local economy. Until today, this area is developing rapidly, due to a thriving tourist industry, which has turned it into one of the favorite tourist destinations in Europe.
